O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e. the Qur’ân, enjoining all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences) which is in your breasts, - a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things) for the believers.

losing yourself perhaps isn’t only an overwhelming experience of being unable to carry yourself out of bed and your hysterical emotions of anger and sadness leading you astray like we are all told
perhaps it is also losing fragments of yourself bit by bit to this world, to the point where you do not know when you were snatched, and when you started doubting the difference of the waswasa of shaytan and your own thoughts in prayer, when a insistent love for the world and its glitters that itches away at you started— buy the next thing, watch the next show, wear the best clothes, follow the next trend — a cycle that leaves us like hamsters on a wheel, busying ourself with this world, believing what satisfies us lays at the end of the wheel that never ends.
you can binge all the shows, you can eat at all the best restaurants, you can surround yourself with the people you love, you can buy all the best luxuries, and you will still not have something that lasts because materialism and a life following our desires is not a life where gratitude and servitude to Allah is at the core of our days and nights, it is not one connected to the Creator - Allah ﷻ
the messenger of Allah ﷺ said: the one among you who wakes up secure in his property, healthy in his body and has his food for the day, it is as if the whole world were brought to him.”
when coupled with acknowledging those blessings through shukr and hamd to Allah through worship, that is the true wealth and happiness. a path that has already been laid out for us through the Mercy of Allah. a happiness that doesn’t constrict your heart. joy in living your purpose. a life that is effortless, irregardless of the hardships along the way, your matter is always kheyr.

.And put forward to them the example of the life of this world: it is like the water (rain) which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it, and becomes fresh and green. But (later) it becomes dry and broken pieces, which the winds scatter. And Allâh is Able to do everything.
