When Allah takes, he replaces with better.
Was it not the great female companion Umm Salamah who lost her beloved husband, and she uttered the words:
Oh Allah, reward me in my affliction and replace for me something better than it.
She said these words whist also saying, “who is better than Abu Salamah?” Her heart was heavy, but she supplicated to her Lord knowing that her heart can be fixed by none other than the one who created it. She supplicated these words knowing that no slave is afflicted with something, and says these words:
Except that Allah will reward him for his affliction and that Allah will replace him with something better.
So who came knocking on her door shortly after? Our beloved Prophet Muhammed ﷺ. They married each other, and she is from the mother of the believers. Never have doubt in this Dua, nor doubt in the promise that Allah truly always replaces something you lost with something better.

A person should always remember death, not on the basis of separating from loved ones because this a view which has shortcomings, but on the basis of separating from working for the hereafter and cultivating deeds..
If he looks at death like this, then he prepares and increases in striving for the hereafter

“ do people think they will be left alone because they say ‘we believe’ , and will not be tested.”
This verse was revealed about a group of believers who were weak in Mecca, and the infidels of Quraysh were harming them and torturing them for Islam, and their chests were constricted by that; So Allah comforted them with this verse, admonished them, and told them that this was a test for them to set themselves up on patience upon harm, and steadfastness upon faith. So Allah Almighty taught them that this is His conduct among His servants: He empowers the infidels over the believers to scrutinize them with this, and with that, the truthful in his iman appears from the liar. However, its wording is general, so its ruling is generally applicable to everyone who has been afflicted with a trial, such as disobedience or harm to the soul, money, and other things. such as disobedience or harm to the soul, money, and other things.

For every darkness there is a light, and the darkness of your heart has no light except the Qur’an.
start your day without the qurān always and watch your day and time be blessed. nothing better to start your day with than the speech of Allah ❤️🩹 the tightness in your heart loosens, your mind’s clustered worries disappear, and you remind yourself that because Allah is with you, what can the day’s obstacles ever do to you?

“ O mankind! Verily, the Promise of Allâh is true. So let not this present life deceive you, and let not the chief deceiver (shaytan) deceive you about Allâh. “
how can the deception of the worldly life look like?
Sa’id ibn jubayr said: The deception of the life of this world is that a person is preoccupied with its blessings and pleasures from the work of the Hereafter, until he says: ("Oh, I wish I had sent forth [ some good deeds ] for my life.)
[Al-Fajr: 24].

On the authority of Jabir رضي الله عنه he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There is an hour in the night in which no Muslim man asks Allah for good in this world and the hereafter but He gives it to him, and that is in every night.

and Allah described the Quran as a light, and that is because of its (the Quran’s) clarification, and it making clear the beneficial sciences, and its complete meanings, and that by it (the Quran) the servant gets out of all darkness:
the darkness of ignorance and disbelief, sin and misery, to the light of knowledge, certainty, iman and obedience, and following the rightful paths of guidance.

virtuous deeds you could do this Friday
giving charity
- ‘ giving charity on a Friday compared to the rest of the days, I’d like giving charity in ramadan compared to the rest of the months’ ibn al qayyim
Salawat
- The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Among the most excellent of your days is Friday; on it Adam was created, on it he died, on it the last trumpet will be blown, and on it the shout will be made, so invoke more blessings on me that day, for your blessings will be submitted to me. The people asked: Messenger of Allah, how can it be that our blessings will be submitted to you while your body is decayed? He replied: Allah, the Exalted, has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of Prophets.
Sunan Abī Dāwūd 1047
making dua
- The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned Friday and said: “On this day there is a time when no Muslim stands and prays, asking Allah for something, but Allah will grant him it” and he gestured with his hands to indicate how short that time is.
al-Bukhari, 893; Muslim, 852
* the second and more correct view according to the scholars is that this time is after asr and before maghrib because of the hadith of the prophet ﷺ when he was asked what time it is and he said after asr. *

reminder: the deeds you strive to do on fridays you should also do every day. it is wrong for us to specify making dua last hour of asr and neglect making dua in general every other day of the week. in your dua, ask Allah to make you firm and steadfast in worshipping Him, and one of the best duas you could say towards that are:
O turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on your religion
and
O Allah aid me in remembering you, being grateful to you; and worshipping you in excellent manner.
