War Monitor’s late night album review, Part 2.

Tonight I’ll talk about Duster’s 1998 debut studio album “Stratosphere”. My introduction into slowcore; listening to this album for the first time a few weeks ago was honestly life changing. A well done, beautifully sounding project that nails the “starring into the distance on a cold autumn morning” aesthetic.

Songs like Gold Dust, Inside Out, The Queen of Hearts, Stratosphere were immediately added to my playlist. This album is popular for a reason, although I see how some might find some tracks on it abstract or even boring, I personally enjoyed it.
