Pakistan conducted precision aerial strikes against terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan linked to Fitna al Khwarij, Fitna al Hindustan and their affiliates. Initial reports indicate 22 terrorists were killed, while weapons and ammunition stored at the hideouts were also destroyed.

Police and Frontier Corps conducted a joint search and strike operation in Shahid Banda and other areas of Pindiali amid prevailing security concerns. The operation was supervised by the local FC Wing Commander and DSP Pindiali Circle Nadir Sher Khan.
Police, FC personnel, female searchers, Special Branch and District Special Branch (DSB) officials participated in the operation. Checkpoints were established at sensitive locations, where suspicious individuals, motorcycles and vehicles were checked, while female searchers conducted searches of suspected houses.

High-level consultations are underway regarding constitutional options for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the possibility of Governor’s Rule or an emergency. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Amir Muqam for consultations on the evolving situation.
A key meeting is also expected at the President House later today, where the Prime Minister is expected to brief the President on KP’s political situation, governance concerns, and the provincial government’s reported detachment from the ongoing fight against terrorism.

Raids are underway in different areas to recapture the wanted suspect. Authorities have also launched an investigation into the circumstances of the escape and possible facilitators.
