The funeral prayers for police personnel martyred in the terrorist attack on the Old Police Lines Mosque in Kohat were offered today. The funeral was attended by GOC 9 Division Major General Shahid Amir Afsar, KP IG Zulfiqar Hameed, provincial ministers Shafiullah Jan and Aftab Alam, the Kohat Commissioner, political and social figures, families of the martyrs, and a large number of citizens.
A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour, while senior officials laid floral wreaths to pay tribute to the fallen personnel. The martyrs’ bodies were later transported to their native areas for burial.
