His family home was raided, searched, and he was detained under allegations of "incitement to terrorism" for supporting the Palestinian cause—all in the presence of his mother, who stood firmly by her son in his opposition to the ongoing violence against Palestinians.

These actions highlight the complicity of governments worldwide in backing Israeli and U.S. policies against the Palestinian and Lebanese people, even to the point of criminalizing their own citizens' right to free speech in an effort to suppress widespread opposition to a war they are actively supporting.
