🔽A phrase that ignited my flame. This is how the captive leader Hassan Salama described the words that the martyr leader Yahya Sinwar said to him when he was a young boy in Khan Yunis camp.

In 1985, there was an Israeli ban on building the Imam al-Shafi’i Mosque,

so the young men defied this decision. Brother Yahya al-Sinwar was one of these workers.

He was standing on the ladder to fix a piece of wood to the ceiling, and he needed someone to hand it to him.

He called me, as I was the closest to him. I tried to be squishy as a joke,

but he shouted at me asking for the piece of wood.

I climbed the ladder to give him the piece after provoking him. He said to me this phrase that I lived with and that has lived with me throughout (By God, you will never gain it).

Therefore, when I was arrested, the first thing I did was ask about Yahya al-Sinwar and send him a message reminding him of the incident that he does not remember,

and I said to him (I hope I have gained it). After his phrase, my life changed and became more serious.

Commander Hassan Salameh was very impressed by the personality and strength of Commander Yahya Sinwar.
