We, in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), commend the announcement by the government of the Republic of Nicaragua to sever diplomatic relations with the Zionist occupation entity, in response to the continued brutal campaign of genocide in the Gaza Strip, and the expansion of the terrorist occupation government's war in Lebanon. We consider this announcement a courageous step towards isolating this fascist entity, criminalizing its behavior, and exposing its widespread violations of international laws and humanitarian norms, which are carried out with political and military cover from Washington and some Western powers.

While we value the Republic of Nicaragua's fulfillment of its moral and political obligations towards our Palestinian people and their just cause, we call on all countries of the world to declare a clear position on this Zionist rampage towards our Palestinian people and the peoples of the region, and to work to besiege the occupation, hold its war criminal leaders accountable, and stand by our Palestinian people and their quest to end the occupation, determine their fate, and establish their independent state.
