🔽These days mark the ninth anniversary of the outbreak of the Jerusalem Intifada.

The spark of the uprising was ignited after a group from Al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, carried out an operation near the "Itamar" settlement, southeast of the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, during which they killed two Israeli settlers.

The operation was carried out a month after the settlers' crime of burning the Dawabsheh family in Nablus.

This was accompanied by the implementation of a series of qualitative operations that included the use of knives to stab soldiers and settlers, in addition to vehicles to run them over, and firearms to kill them, in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the occupied interior.


One of the most prominent operations carried out by the young man, Muhammad Ali, from the Shuafat camp in occupied Jerusalem, where he was sitting in his usual place in Bab al-Amoud Square when soldiers from the occupation's special "Yassam" forces provoked him, so the response was to pounce on them with his knife and stabbed 3 of them and seriously injured them before he was martyred.
