Abdulaziz Salha, the freed and deported prisoner, has ascended to martyrdom as a result of the zionist aggression on Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

After two IOF soldiers mistakenly entered Ramallah on October 12th, 2000, they were held at the Palestinian Authority police station in Ramallah. At the same time, the funeral of the martyr Asim Joudeh, who was killed by the IOF two days before, was taking place.

Hundreds of mourners passed by the police station, and upon finding out that there were "israelis" inside, they stormed it. Abdul Aziz Salha appeared at the window in the famous picture, his hands stained with the blood of the two beaten and dead IOF soldiers, amidst cheers from outside.

Salha was sentenced to life in prison, but released in the 2011 Loyalty to the Free prisoner exchange deal and deported to the Gaza Strip, where he ascended to martyrdom.
