Hezbollah fighters set up an ambush and lured the occupation soldiers into a building in a village in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon, coinciding with heavy fog.

At 4:00 a.m., a force from the Egoz unit entered the building, and the resistance fighters engaged them from point-blank range. Then, dozens of resistance fighters began to surround the building from all directions, firing gunfire, anti-tank shells, and mortar shells at the forces that arrived to evacuate the wounded soldiers.
