Hezbollah fighters set up an ambush and lured the occupation soldiers into a building in a village in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon, coinciding with heavy fog.

At 4:00 a.m., a force from the Egoz unit entered the building, and the resistance fighters engaged them from point-blank range. Then, dozens of resistance fighters began to surround the building from all directions, firing gunfire, anti-tank shells, and mortar shells at the forces that arrived to evacuate the wounded soldiers.

- Some soldiers from Unit 669, which is responsible for evacuating soldiers via helicopters, were injured during the evacuation operations.

This ambush alone resulted in the killing of 8 soldiers and the wounding of 30 others.
