BREAKING: 🇩🇪 Germany Suspends New Arms Exports to “Israel”

In a huge blow to “Israel “, Germany has halted all new approvals for war weapons exports to Tel Aviv, citing legal challenges and concerns over violations of international humanitarian law.

This marks a significant shift, as Germany had previously approved over €326.5 million worth of arms last year alone. Now, in 2024, approvals have plummeted to just €14.5 million—with the "weapons of war" category seeing a mere €32,449 approved.

💬 A senior official confirmed that no new arms exports have been approved since October 7, pending legal resolutions. Germany's decision follows pressure from cases brought by the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights.

🌍 This isn't just Germany - Britain has suspended 30 arms licenses, and even the Netherlands and Biden's administration have taken similar steps against arming Israel due to fears that these weapons are being used in attacks on civilians in Gaza.

Alexander Schwarz of ECCHR noted the drop in arms exports indicates a "genuine, though temporary, reluctance to supply weapons to Israel."
