I QUIT!: Brown University Trustee Resigns Over Upcoming Divestment Vote on “Israel”

Joseph Edelman, a top hedge fund manager, has just resigned from Brown University’s Board of Trustees in protest over an upcoming vote to divest from companies tied to “Israel”. This vote was sparked by months of student protests demanding Brown cut financial ties to companies complicit in “Israel’s” oppression and genocide of Palestinians.

Edelman, founder of Perceptive Advisors, called Brown’s decision to hold the vote a sign of “weakness” and accused the university of giving in to anti-Israel protests. In his words, the vote is "morally reprehensible" and a "dangerous precedent."

💥 “I am concerned about what Brown’s willingness to hold such a vote suggests about the university’s attitude toward rising anti-Semitism on campus,” Edelman said.

Despite attempts to suppress student voices, Palestinian solidarity is winning, and the BDS movement is growing stronger as more people see “Israel’s” atrocities for what they are.
