Sad Thursday

After 8 years of pursuit and mystery behind which Mohammed Al-Daif disappeared, he was arrested with the same mystery and calm.

The end of this fighter's pursuit and the way he was arrested was unexpected in this way.

At approximately 10:30 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2000, Preventive Security forces surrounded the home of Hajj Abu Imad Sarsour in the Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City. The residents of the house did not know what was happening except that the doorbell rang

The visitor was the prisoner of the authority, the Mujahid Yahya al-Ghoul (Adnan al-Ghoul), who was the only one who knew where Muhammad al-Deif was and who used to visit the house with the Mujahid Muhammad al-Sinwar, asking to meet Abu Khaled. After he agreed, they entered and talked to him for 10 minutes, and no one knew what had happened between them

Arrest is a crime

Sources reported that Yahya al-Ghoul and Mohammed Sinwar set conditions for their release, the first of which was a pledge not to hand him over to the occupation, not to humiliate him, and to treat him well, befitting his status. When they spoke with Mohammed al-Deif, he asked them to set another condition, which was not to touch the house in which he and his companions were hiding.

Mohammed Al-Daif was always carrying his personal pistol and M-16 rifle, as well as a special, closed bag that no one was allowed to approach. It was believed that it contained additional explosives for an explosive belt wrapped around his body. This was what the authorities feared, and they threatened the owners of the house not to talk.

Follow-up on the last two attacks in the Qizan Al-Najjar area south of Khan Yunis:

The first attack was on an uninhabited house in the Al-Malalha area,

The second attack was on the villa of Mr. Hassan Al-Shaer and his sons. All those in the house are missing.

The house was completely destroyed by two missiles from the occupation aircraft. No one has been found so far.
