These are some of the tunnels in which resistance members and leaders were martyred after their collapse or after they were targeted by the occupation.


The Seven Moons of Shuja'iyya

A number of Qassam Brigades members were martyred in Shuja'iyya after a tunnel collapsed on them during a renovation operation in 2016


Operation Gate of the Unknown East of Khan Yunis
A group of Qassam Brigades members were martyred after confronting an Israeli incursion attempt. The members were martyred in the tunnel after attempting to carry out a capture operation. A number of the bodies of the martyrs were lost after it was impossible to search for the bodies due to the collapse of the tunnel on them.


The commander of the Central Brigade of the Al-Quds Brigades and his deputy were martyred, along with a number of the Brigades’ cadres, after an attack tunnel in which they were present was targeted. A number of Qassam Brigades members were also martyred while trying to retrieve the martyrs in 2017.

The martyrdom of Abu Imad, the leader Bassem Issa, along with a group of resistance leaders in the Qassam Brigades, after targeting a tunnel in which they were located, west of Gaza City, in 2021.

A group of leaders of the Northern Brigade in the Gaza Strip were martyred, headed by Abu Anas, Commander Ahmed Al-Ghandour, and Abu Al-Ezz, Commander Ayman Siam, after targeting a tunnel in which they were present in the north in 2023.

Of course, this does not include the martyrs of all the preparations who were martyred during the restoration and excavation operations.
