Our people’s battle with the occupation and colonialism did not begin on October 7, but rather 105 years before that of the occupation.
Our people lived 30 years under British colonialism and 75 years of Zionist occupation.
Our people have suffered for decades from all forms of oppression, injustice, confiscation of basic rights, and apartheid policies.
The Gaza Strip has suffered a stifling siege for more than 17 years, turning it into the largest open-air prison in the world.
The Gaza Strip suffered from 5 devastating wars, and each time Israel was the initiator.
From 2000 until September 2023, the occupation killed 11,299 Palestinians and wounded 156,768 others, the majority of whom were civilians.
“Israel” has practically destroyed the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state through the fierce campaign to double settlement and Judaization in the West Bank.
Were our people required to continue waiting and betting on the United Nations and its powerless institutions?
Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” was a necessary step and a natural response to confront the plans being hatched to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
“Al-Aqsa Flood” was to confront “Israel’s” plans to control the land, Judaize it, and resolve sovereignty over Al-Aqsa Mosque
“Al-Aqsa Flood” was necessary to end the unjust siege on the Gaza Strip and a natural step within the framework of getting rid of the occupation.
The “Al-Aqsa Flood” was a natural step to achieving independence and freedom like other peoples of the world and the right to self-determination.
The “Al-Aqsa Flood” was a natural step towards establishing the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
On October 7, Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” targeted Israeli military sites and sought to capture enemy soldiers and fighters in order to release our prisoners.
The attack focused on the Israeli Gaza Military Division and Israeli positions in the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip
Avoiding targeting civilians, especially women, children, and the elderly, is a religious and moral obligation upon which Hamas’ sons are raised.
We dealt positively with the file of civilians who were captured in the Gaza Strip and we sought from day one to release them as quickly as possible.
Al-Qassam fighters did not target civilians, but many of them were killed by the Israeli police and army forces because of their confusion.
There were a number of armed settlers who clashed with the resistance on October 7, and those who were killed were recorded by the occupation as civilians.
What the occupation is promoting about Al-Qassam targeting Israeli civilians in the October 7 attack is pure slander and a lie.
The claim of killing 40 infants has been proven with certainty to be false, as acknowledged by Israeli sources.
The claim that resistance fighters raped Israeli women was proven false, and Hamas categorically denies this.
Fair investigations will confirm our story and the lies of the occupation’s allegations
The bombing and destruction operations showed the occupation's indifference to the lives of its prisoners and its willingness to sacrifice them
We call on the major countries, especially the United States, Germany, Canada and Britain, to announce their support for the path of investigating crimes in Palestine.
These countries do not want to acknowledge that the roots of the problem and the root of the crisis are the presence of the occupation and its confiscation of our people’s right to live freely.
We call on the International Criminal Court to come urgently and immediately to occupied Palestine in order to investigate all crimes and violations.
The events of October 7 must be placed in their broader context and recall instances of liberation struggle in the world in contemporary history.
The Hamas movement is a national liberation movement with legitimate goals that derives its legitimacy in resisting the occupation from the right of its people to defend themselves.
