Many people think that the ICJ case has no consequence and hence means nothing. This cannot be further from the truth!
1) International institutions were used by the West to exert pressure on the global South.
The ICC was opened a case against Putin and South Africa could not invite him to the BRICS summit.
South Africa filing a genocide case with the ICJ essentially flipped the tables and trapped the G7 in a situation where they either abide by the ICJ court and abandon Israel or they destroy the international institutions they use against the global South.
2) If South Africa wins and Israel ignores the decision, South Africa goes with this decision to the UN General Assembly (no veto power) and they can get further proceedings in Palestine’s favour. The West will have to comply and join the sanctions or delegitimize the institutions they use against the global South. The US cannot forbid countries to abide by UN decisions. If South Africa wins the case, domestic prosecutors can halt the arms trade and prosecute the governments that endorsed Israel’s crimes.
3) There are several ICC follow-up lawsuits: the ICC would have to look at Netanyahu and co, as they cannot ignore a ruling from the ICJ. Netanyahu would get investigated, along with his allies. That would be the self-destruction of the West or the downfall of Israel.
4) Indonesia lawsuit on Israel’s occupation of Palestine: the decision is only advisory (=not beinding) but Indonesia can take this decision to the UN general assembly (=no veto), try to get all countries to act, and call out the hypocrisy of the West.
5) Mexico and Chile suing Israel in the ICC: Israel is not a member of the Hague-based court and does not recognize its jurisdiction, but there’s a ruling that confirms that the ICC does have jurisdiction over the occupied territories. It is worth noting that Russia is also not a member of the ICC, but the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Putin. This precedent can be used.
Summary:
South Africa’s lawsuit at the ICJ is a clever trap for the West. Either destroy all your institutions and be finally and fully exposed as a hypocrites or act against Israel.
This is also why the West is freaking out so much about it.

🇷🇺🇮🇷 vs 🇺🇸: Russia and Iran agree to sign a bilateral strategic pact
A significant development this week with respect to Iran. Russia has agreed to enter into a bilateral strategic pact with Iran.
Iran has been a target of U.S. and Israeli intelligence operations for several decades. These efforts appear to have accelerated over the last ten years because of shared Israeli and U.S. fears that Iran was edging towards becoming a nuclear power.
Both sides stressed their commitment to the fundamental principles of the Russian-Iranian relations, including unconditional respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, which will be confirmed in the major intergovernmental treaty between Russia and Iran as this document is being finalised already.
This is a huge development in world politics and will further shift the balance of power and influence away from the U.S. It means that Israel and the United States will face the risk of going to war with Moscow if either openly launch a military attack on Iran.
The question now is how will the US State Department react. They can either continue on this path of self-destruction, or realize that the world isn't what it used to be and they can no longer do whatever they want without consequences
The economic and strategic alliances to give countries an alternative to the American post-war system will only grow.

🚨The New York Times, about leaders in the occupation army:
- The advanced infrastructure of the Qassam Brigades led to the obstruction of the military campaign in Gaza
- Restoring prisoners and destroying Hamas are now incompatible goals
The long battle aimed at destroying Hamas will likely cost the lives of the prisoners
The recovery of prisoners is possible through diplomatic, not military, means
- The diplomatic path to recovering the prisoners will be the fastest way
-The strategic impasse exacerbated the army's frustration over the hesitation of the political leadership
-We fear that a prolonged campaign without a post-war plan will erode Allied support

UAE calls on US to ease tensions in Middle East before time runs out
"We need a humanitarian ceasefire now, we can't wait another 100 days," said UAE Ambassador to the United Nations Lana Nusseibeh, calling on the US to ease tensions, Bloomberg reports.
"The risks are high, the war in Gaza is very clearly an open wound and it's destabilizing the region," she added.
