He began his militant political activity in the 1950s. Through the Al-Urwa Al-Wuthqa Association, which was founded by Constantine Zureiq, and George Habash, Ahmed Al-Khatib, and Hani Al-Hindi were among its most prominent leaders.

During his struggle, he moved between many Arab countries. He contributed to the establishment of Arab nationalist cells there, and he also founded the movement’s branch in Iraq.

He worked in journalism; Especially his editing of the “Revenge” publication, the movement’s mouthpiece at the time.
