We in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) welcome the legal opinion issued by the International Court of Justice, in which it affirmed the illegality of the Zionist occupation and the necessity of putting an end to it, and in which it exposed the fascist settlement system, demanded its end, and pointed out the widespread violations of international law committed by governments. The occupation is against our people and our Palestinian land.

This decision, and the court’s request to the United Nations and the Security Council, to consider measures to put an end to the Zionist occupation; It places the international system before the need for immediate action to end the occupation, and to translate the successive decisions issued by the court into serious steps on the ground, especially in light of the ongoing war of genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip, the dangerous settlement expansion in the West Bank, and the frantic Judaization steps in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.


After the advisory opinion, which was issued by the International Court of Justice with a large majority, we call on the United Nations General Assembly and the Security Council to take the necessary measures to end the occupation, especially in light of the entity’s rejection of the court’s decisions and accusing it of anti-Semitism.

The International Court of Justice has issued several decisions ordering the cessation of actions that lead to genocide in the Gaza Strip, and the necessity of facilitating the access of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip, in addition to stopping the criminal military operation underway so far in the city of Rafah. These decisions were ignored by the occupation government. With the full support and coverage of the American administration, and here are the Zionist positions repeatedly attacking the court and its decision today, and we are in this context; We call on the international community to arm itself with these decisions, go beyond the American will, and work to oblige the fascist occupation to implement and comply with them immediately.

The Popular Front welcomes the decision of the International Court of Justice and calls for it to be transformed into binding measures against the occupation

- The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine welcomes the decision of the International Court of Justice issued today regarding the legal consequences of the “Israeli” occupation of the Palestinian territories, which came at the request of the United Nations General Assembly. During which the court confirmed that the "Israeli" occupation is illegal and illegitimate, that it is an occupying force, and practices violations and policies that amount to discrimination and apartheid.

This decision constitutes an important development in the positions of international organizations. It is considered rare for an international organization to issue a resolution with such comprehensiveness and accuracy in describing the violations and crimes of the occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Although the court’s decision is advisory and non-binding, it deepens the isolation of the Zionist entity and increases the increasing legal pressure on it as a result of its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.

The Front calls on the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly to adopt the court’s recommendations and work to take serious measures to put an end to the illegal presence of the occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories, despite the conviction that the American administration will constitute a real obstacle to issuing such decisions.

Despite the importance of this decision, the fundamental question remains the extent to which these decisions can be imposed on the occupation in light of the occupation’s failure to adhere to the court’s decisions and its disregard for all its previous decisions. Resolutions condemning the occupation for committing war crimes and violating international laws have accumulated, without being translated into executive steps.


- The Palestinian people, who have been repeatedly failed over the years of occupation, and have been subjected to constant complicity by international institutions, especially in the Zionist war that has been going on for about ten months, are in dire need of transforming these decisions into effective decisions. What is the benefit of these decisions if they are not imposed on the occupation? Especially since none of the previous decisions to stop the aggression against the Gaza Strip or even to stop the ground invasion of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, were implemented. The continuation of the Zionist war of annihilation, and the occupation’s disregard for all previous decisions of the International Court of Justice, reinforce the necessity of taking serious and concrete steps to impose justice and end the occupation.

- The bright, indubitable truth is that Palestine, from its river to its sea, is the land of the Palestinian people, and that this occupation is destined to disappear no matter how long it takes, and no matter how great its crimes are; History is evidence that occupation and colonialism do not last.

Despite the partnership and care provided by the American administration to the Zionist occupation, and despite the complicity and complicity of the international community, which always fails to implement its decisions, the will of the Palestinian people and their right to freedom, dignity, and self-determination is stronger than all conspiracies.

The continuing struggle and heroic steadfastness of our people, despite all the challenges and disappointment, confirms that the occupation is inevitably fleeting, and that the dawn of freedom is coming, no matter how great the occupation’s crimes become.
