UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak confided to members of his inner circle that he is fearful of losing his Yorkshire constituency at the general election, sources told the Guardian.

Before a Conservative rally on July 2, Sunak said that he thought the vote in Richmond and Northallerton was too close to call.

One source said "He is genuinely fearful of a defeat in Richmond: the risk that it could be tight has hit him hard. He’s rattled –he can’t quite believe it’s coming so close."

The UK general elections are set to take place on July 4.

A former US Major in the Defense Intelligence Agency, who quit in protest of the US sponsorship of the ongoing Israeli genocide, told The Guardian that "Israel" is risking a wide-scale war with Lebanon to ensure the political survivability of Benjamin Netanyahu.

Harrison Mann highlighted that such a war would pull the US into a regional conflict.

“We know specifically that the Israeli prime minister must continue to be a wartime leader if he wants to prolong his political career and stay out of court, so that motivation is there,” Mann said.

Mann underscored that "Israel" does not have a realistic idea of how its military would be successful against Hezbollah.

The former Major further criticized "Israel's" genocidal intents, saying that the bombing of civilian centers to compel their enemy is an "accepted" and "shared belief" among the IOF and Israeli leadership, "We’ve just seen them do it in Gaza for the past nine months."
