In support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, the Islamic Resistance carried out a number of operations against the positions and deployment of the Israeli enemy army on the Lebanese-Palestinian border on Tuesday 1/16/2024, according to the following:

- Eastern sector:

1- At 14:00, the Al-Sammaqa site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms was targeted with missile weapons and was directly hit.
2- At 15:30, targeting the perimeter of the settlements in the occupied area of Nabi Yusha with appropriate missile launches as a response to the enemy’s attacks on the vicinity of the southern villages.
3- At 16:20, the Bayad Blida site was targeted with appropriate weapons and was directly hit.

- Western sector:

1- At 10:45, a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers east of the Efen Menachem settlement was targeted with missile weapons.
2- At 16:20, a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers in the vicinity of the Ramia site was targeted with appropriate weapons, and it was directly hit.
3- At 18:20, the Hadab Al-Bustan site was targeted with Burkan missiles and was directly hit.

What’s the backstory?

It’s a bit complicated. The Iranian missile attack targeted a group called the "Justice Army."

To understand what's going on, you need to comprehend who this group is.
So, here's a brief background on this group and how it’s related to Pakistan and Afghanistan.

A group known as the "Justice Army," operating in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province, claims to fight against Iranian forces, aiming to address the grievances of the Baloch and Sunni communities. However, the Iranian government classifies this group as a terrorist organization. Formed in 2012 after the execution of Abdul Malik Rigi, the leader of the "Jundallah" movement, the "Justice Army" emerged under the leadership of Abdul Rahim Molla Zadeh. This transition saw the unification of various armed factions opposing Iranian authorities. Molla Zadeh, now operating under the name Salahuddin Farooqi, led the group, drawing attention from observers who see it as a continuation of the "Jundallah" movement.

Sistan and Baluchestan, with its historical complexities, has been a focal point of political, ethnic, and sectarian conflicts. The region's strategic importance for the Iranian regime is amplified by its intricate ethnic composition and geographic significance.

Recent years have witnessed increased calls for secession, particularly in Baluchistan regions across Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, with aspirations to establish an independent Baloch state.

Tehran annexed the region in 1928, making it a vital Iranian province, while a part of it joined Pakistan in 1947.

The "Justice Army" operates with three battalions named after fallen members, Abdul Malik Molla Zadeh, Nematullah Towhidi, and Sheikh Ziaee. In addition, a security battalion handles monitoring and reconnaissance. Farooqi, the group's leader, maintains close ties with Baloch tribes in the Pakistani Baluchistan region, having lived among them for several years.

He is considered the strategic leader of the group in Baluchistan.

So why did Iran attack Pakistan ?

The primary motive behind the attack is not centered on the group. Launching missile strikes on a tribal area is unlikely to resolve the underlying issue.

The main objective appears to be sending a signal that Iran considers no country exempt from potential actions.

🔺The US Senate voted 72-11 to kill a resolution by senator Bernie Sanders to have the State Department report Israel's human rights abuses against Palestinians.

A resolution that was described as the "BARE MINIMUM resolution" to protect the human rights of palestinians.
