For the 267th day, the zionist occupation continues its brutal aggression and genocide war against our people in the Gaza Strip, committing the most horrific massacres, killings and barbaric bombings, and destroying all aspects of life there.

The Nazi occupation is closing all crossings, the lifeline for more than two million Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip, which has deepened the human tragedy they have been experiencing for nearly nine months. Cases of starvation have become a reality, not a metaphor, occurring in the Gaza Strip, especially in the Gaza and North governorates.

The situation in the Gaza and North governorates has become tragic, threatening the ascending of thousands of martyrs due to hunger and the lack of food, water, and the necessities of life as the enemy prevents the entry of aid, and even targets and burns what enters from it, which plunges the population into a state of great famine as there is no safe place, and no provision for the most basic necessities of life: no food, no water, no medicine.

UN estimates indicate that 70% of our people in the Gaza Strip face the real threat of famine, while children in particular suffer from malnutrition and weak immunity.

Many international organizations and bodies have confirmed that our people in the Gaza Strip, who number 2.3 million people, need at least 500 aid trucks per day. Given the non-arrival of this number of trucks, this means that:
The entire population of the Strip, i.e. 2.3 million people, today suffer from food insecurity.
346,000 children under the age of five suffer from malnutrition.
50,400 children under the age of five suffer from acute malnutrition.
160,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women need additional nutrition to avoid malnutrition.

International reports, by experts from 19 United Nations agencies and four donor countries, published on Monday, 6/25/2024 , warned of:
The continued high risk of famine occurring throughout the Gaza Strip, in light of the continuing war and restrictions imposed on the access of humanitarian aid by the zionist occupation.
More than half of Gazan families reported that they often do not have food, and more than 20% of families spend entire days and nights without eating any food.
About 96% of Gaza’s population (2.1 million people) face high levels of acute food insecurity.
More than 495,000 people (22% of the population) face catastrophic levels of acute food insecurity in Stage 5, in which families face severe food shortages and starvation.

The unjust siege policy and closure of crossings imposed by the occupation led to a cash crisis and prevented money from reaching the residents of the Gaza Strip, which greatly affected relief efforts and people’s ability to buy the food supplies they needed, and deepened cases of famine in the Gaza Strip.

The occupation obstructs the arrival of aid by imposing a comprehensive military blockade, which constitutes collective punishment, as the occupation controls all sea, air and land entrances, and prevents the arrival of aid and relief materials.

The occupation follows a policy of systematic, barbaric destruction of most roads, energy, water, hygiene, and sanitation equipment.

The occupation launches attacks on relief workers and those responsible for ensuring the arrival of aid, including community figures, mayors, associations, institutions, and emergency committees. The zionist occupation killed 364 health workers, 165 United Nations humanitarian workers, and 8 humanitarian workers affiliated with non-governmental organizations.
