Three years ago today, Palestinian activist and thinker Nizar Banat from Hebron was beaten to death by Palestinian security forces as they raided his home.
He passed away around an hour later while being taken to hospital.
The PA claimed he died of natural causes, but an autopsy commissioned by his family showed that he died after suffering 42 injuries inflicted with metal pipes.
Nizar Banat was staunchly pro-Axis of Resistance and opposed any form of normalization, defeatism, or compromise. He bluntly called out all those who sold the Palestinian struggle and heavily criticized the Palestinian Authority for its excessive internal corruption, complicity, and security coordination with the Israeli occupation.
To this day, no accountability has been taken for his murder, and no proper investigations have been carried out.
They killed him to silence him.

Up to 21,000 children are estimated to be missing in the chaos of the war in Gaza, many trapped beneath rubble, detained, buried in unmarked graves, or lost from their families, said Save the Children.
The agencyโs child protection teams are reporting that the latest displacements caused by the offensive in Rafah have separated more children and further increased the strain on families and communities caring for them.
It is almost impossible to collect and verify information under the current conditions in Gaza, but at least 17,000 children are believed to be unaccompanied and separated and approximately 4,000 children are likely missing under the rubble, with an unknown number also in mass graves
Others have been forcibly โdisappearedโ, including an unknown number detained and transferred out of Gaza, their whereabouts unknown to their families amidst reports of ill-treatment and torture
