Joury Al-Areer is a child suffering from cancer and severe malnutrition in North Gaza. Joury weighs only 8 kilos, down from a previous 15 kilos, despite being 5 years old. The famine and malnutrition crisis exacerbated by the ongoing siege has left her body frail and weak. In a heartbreaking appeal, Joury expresses her wish to travel and receive treatment, to gain weight, and to get better. Her story is just one representation of the suffering faced by many children in the northern Gaza Strip.
