Nahum Barnea - Yedioth Ahronoth:
Yesterday's operation did not solve any of the problems that Israel has been dealing with since October 7: not the crisis in the north;
Neither the Gaza crisis nor the other crises that threaten Israel on the international front - in each of these issues the government continues to dive into a hole it has dug for itself. It does not hurt, in this context,
to return to the eternal advice of Dennis Haley, who was the British Defense Minister: when you are in a hole, stop digging.
The extraordinary efforts made to rescue the four kidnapped yesterday and the three who were rescued before that remind us of the limits of force.
There are now approximately 120 kidnapped people in Gaza. According to army estimates, half of them are alive.
There is no way to extricate all of them - or even most of them - in military operations.
If there is anyone who believes that yesterday's operation exempts the government from a deal, then he is living in illusions.
Quite the opposite: the joy of saving them demonstrates the need for a deal โ there are those we must save, and as quickly as possible.

Our fighters were able to target a "Merkava" tank with an RPG shell at Al-Awda Roundabout, east of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, which led to the tank being hit and causing serious casualties among the ranks of the enemy army forces.
โ
Our fighters are engaged in intense clashes with the zionist occupation forces invading Balata camp, targeting them with a heavy barrage of bullets and explosive devices.
This is just a glimpse of the might of our brigades.

The Ministry of Health launches an urgent distress call to the international community and its international and relief institutions to provide electric generators to hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza has been relying for 9 months on electrical generators to supply hospitals with the necessary electrical energy around the clock after the destruction of the only electricity generation station in the Gaza Strip.
A number of electrical generators in hospitals suffered major technical malfunctions that are difficult to repair, and others were directly destroyed by the brutal occupation.
We expect the electrical generators in the remaining hospitals, health centers, and pharmaceutical warehouses to stop as a result of preventing the entry of spare parts necessary for their maintenance.
The cessation of electrical generators means certain death for the sick and injured and the complete end of the health service in the Gaza Strip
The "Israeli" occupation forces deliberately destroyed the electrical generators in the Al-Shifa Complex, the Nasser Complex, the Indonesian Hospital, and Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, with the aim of putting them out of service.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital is still working on one generator after one of the two main generators broke down, which threatens a humanitarian catastrophe.
The Ministry of Health continues its contacts with international institutions, led by the International Committee of the Red Cross, in order to supply new generators and spare parts since the beginning of the aggression, but to no avail as a result of the intransigence of the โIsraeliโ occupation.
