โThey are Our Childrenโ
A beautiful article about Jabalia written by Yousef Fares
Translated by: jinsjiddies on X
Our sense of accomplishment and heroism was shamefully shattered when we saw Umm Mahmoud sneaking ahead of us to the last lines of fire in the Fallujah neighborhood, from which Israeli vehicles were still camped only tens of meters away, amidst the empty and desolate streets where only the sounds of nearby explosions with various warplanes and drones could be heard as she walked on the ground, the needy woman whose face shared the alleys of the camp; wrinkles over sixty years old:
- "Where are you going, Hajjah?" I asked.
- "Go away, son, so they don't bomb us together. I want to get food to the guys and come back.โ
The camp lady said as she crossed the destroyed alleys with the vigor of a man who had not yet knocked on the door of forty years of age. In Fallujah, you will feel that the streets are not empty even if they seem so, you will see many signs that they are here (the fighters), weapons covered with rubble and stones, cold water bottles, remnants of dates and halawa, then an explosion followed by a shout that echoes throughout the streets of the camp: "Allahu Akbar!!โ The last echo was our last promise to stay in the dangerous area, as the fighter jets will have a tour here soon, they will blow up more houses in an attempt to silence the shouts of victory, and we had to jump out, with agility like that which God gave the gazelles when fleeing from their predator.
This is how the "not-so-honorable" scene looked: two young men (Yousef and his friend) fleeing for their safety, and Hajja continuing to advance to deliver hot bread and cold water to a group of resistance fighters whom she decided to include in her small family and play a motherly role towards, even at the cost of her body shrapnel getting distributed among the twelve "blocks" of the camp.
People in Jabalia camp know the resistance fighters well, memorize the names of hundreds of them, and whisper tales of their heroism. This is the first battle since the beginning of the war that openly witnessed this level of emotional and moral interaction between the resistance fighters and their incubator (the people), and we are mischaracterizing reality when we create any separation between the resistance fighters and the people, the human mass here; fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers, is what has continued to supply the resistance throughout decades, with this qualitative and quantitative surplus of fighters, and it is also the one tasked with reloading and recharging the militant reservoir during and after this war.
In the camp, people talk a lot about their children (the fighters), about scenes in which young men mock death, about one of them loading a mortar with one hand after the other was hit, about a second drinking a sip of coffee between shells, and about a third competing with his companion in wrestling the Merkava tank. About Moatasem Shehadeh and his friend Mus'ab, when the former fell near him as a martyr, his friend picked up his weapon and continued the clash, and Weam Hajjaj, Hadifa al-Arabid and Diaa Falafel, these boys, whose childhoods were shaped by the second intifada in 2000, are our boys.

Yossi Verter-Haaretz:
The price could have been great, if something went wrong in yesterday's operation, and this proves the inevitability of reaching an agreement now, even at the expense of ending the war -
what happened yesterday did not cause any strategic change, as Israel is still mired in the mud of Gaza, without a political horizon.
There are no plans for the day after the war, and the high death toll from Nuseirat in the liberation process will further aggravate Israelโs international situation.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
"Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the hearts of a believing people."
As part of the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood:
Our fighters in the Nablus Brigade, at dawn today, Sunday 9/6/2024, directly confronted the occupation forces invading the eastern region in more than one axis, concentrated in the area of Balata camp and targeting them with barrages of blessed bullets.
Our fighters also detonated a number of explosive devices in the occupation vehicles, causing severe damage and disabling one of the vehicles.
It is a jihad of victory or martyrdom

It is clear that Hamas will learn lessons and make changes, and will make the next step more difficult. On the other hand,
it should be said that only a deal can return the kidnapped people.
