Abdel Karim Atallah is an electrical engineer in Gaza who works on renewable energy maintenance to help his community, even with the limited resources he has.

He uses broken solar panels and a few tools, to install and maintain water wells and solar panel systems to ensure that neighborhoods lacking water and electricity can still have basic amenities.

His work enables residents to charge their phones and have light at night as well

Despite the dangers of his work amidst the ongoing bombardment around him, he works selflessly and without any financial compensation.
