She has a life-threatening skin disorder called icthyosis. She also has ectropion, meaning her eyelids are turned inside out bc of her tight skin. She can't blink or close her eyes.
Ghufran says, "I want to become like people, travel like people and my face to become like people and get treated and be able to close my eyes to get better. I want to live like people and being able to play outside."
She cannot play outside because of the dust from the rubble.
She is at risk of permanent blindness and sepsis, and is likely in pain. She has damage to her retinas and corneas from lack of eye lubrication.
