Data from the Ministry of Health reveals 1,400 complaints of sexual assaults in mental health institutions over six years, highlighting a serious issue in government hospitals. Adi, a patient, recounted exploitation at a vulnerable time, mentioning insufficient supervision and mixed wards leading to abuse.

The Ministry of Health stated, "Any incident crossing a criminal threshold is reported to the police and the prosecution."

The ministry declined to disclose the number of sanctions, punishments, terminations, or license revocations against staff, clarifying that responsibility lies with the Civil Service Commission, and that they do not have the data.
