Middle East Eye:
British doctors and organisations are part of an initiative called Project Pure Hope began efforts in January to bring four siblings and their cousin from Gaza as a "test case" to see what would happen.
Three of the siblings, whose parents were killed, had suffered traumatic amputations and required further medical treatment, which pediatric hospitals across Britain were prepared to provide.
Over ยฃ500,000 ($636,000) was raised, enough to cover their treatment, and arrangements were made for the childrenโs aunt and grandmother to accompany them, according to those involved.
The issue was visas.
โWe made many, many attempts to try to get a visa for these children and, sadly, despite many good-hearted civil servants, when it got to the highest level, we just heard nothing back,โ Kandiah told MEE.
Five months later, with British hospitals and medical professionals still at the ready, Kandiah and others say they are unaware of any legal pathways available to bring these children to the UK, nor have they heard of any Palestinian children seeking medical treatment being admitted.
They point to the care Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani campaigner for girlโs education, received at a Birmingham hospital after she was shot by a Taliban gunman and, more recently, Ukrainian children with cancer whom the National Health Service (NHS) brought to England in 2022 for treatment, along with their family members.

๐ปColonel Reserve Yitzhak Brik:
The army spreads illusions and throws ashes into the eyes of the public and does not tell the truth. We will not be able to overthrow Hamas, and since we are a small army unable to eliminate Hamas, we will certainly face a problem if we start an all-out war - you need to take a break - a break from the fighting
Entering Rafah is not only detrimental to us, but it is a tragic mistake. Rafah has kept us away from the world, kept us away from peace with Egypt, and this may lead to us losing our ability to return the prisoners forever.

๐ปTwo cousins died in Gaza within a few weeks
Sergeant Daniel Levi and his cousin Sergeant Yedidya Azugi, who died yesterday in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, had planned to meet in Gaza - but died 19 days apart. "Their deaths being so close to each other is something surreal and incomprehensible," said Daniel's father, David. Their grandmother, Ninet, received the devastating news about her two grandsons and struggles to speak

SkyNews:
Israeli airstrike that killed dozens in Rafah carried out using type of bomb supplied by US.
Footage filmed by Palestinian journalist Alamuddin Sadiq at the scene of the strike appears to indicate which specific munition was used, 1,000 of which were supplied by the US to Israel in 2023.
To build a picture of what happened immediately after the strike, Sky News verified numerous videos and photographs captured by those present.
Recorded the day after the strike, the fragments resemble the tail section of a GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb (SDB).
A serial number visible in footage of the munition confirms the US origin of the component found. The five number sequence "81873" corresponds to the Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code assigned to the US manufacturer Woodward, which produces munition parts.

It seems that we should not ask our heads of state, neither the prime minister nor anyone else, about our future in the north, and whether we will open a school year or not. We should ask one person, which is the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah. Let us put the question directly to him.
