โ๏ธUp next is an analysis of the entire MENA region concerning relations with Israel and the reasons behind the Qatari offer.
Analysis |
Concerning the Qatari offer and the recent shift in American tone:
Firstly, it's crucial to acknowledge that there is no "free Arab state," and those that were considered such, like Libya, Yemen, and Syria, are no longer fully functional.
Within the MENA region, there are four types of Arab states:
1. States permitted to publicly oppose Israel (Kuwait, Iraq, Algeria*):
In this category, the American empire stands to lose more than it gains if these states normalize.
๐ฎ๐ถ Iraq: A US-tailored constitution drafted by Paul Bremer ensures no genuine democracy for Iraqis, with a military presence consisting of 12 known US military bases.
๐ฐ๐ผ Kuwait: A strategically located small Gulf state hosting one of the largest U.S. military bases in the region. If Kuwaitis decide to revolt against the government, it might lead to public unrest and a call for US forces to leave.
๐ฉ๐ฟ ALGERIA: Requires a more in-depth explanation, and I am not in the mood to switch to French. The closest explanation I can give is Algeria*.
In essence, the U.S. establishment has much more to lose if the governments of these countries normalize relations with Israel.
2. States coerced to normalize (Saudi Arabia):
๐ธ๐ฆ Saudi Arabia is the core guarantor of the U.S. currency value. Thatโs why it has managed to get away with a lot.
According to the U.S. establishment, Saudi Arabia is the "leader" of the vast majority of Muslims globally. Many Sunni-majority countries will finally have an excuse to follow suit, finding a rationale to convince their citizens that it is now "Halal."
3. States "suggested" (ordered to) normalize (all the remaining Arab states).
4. The state of Qatar ๐ถ๐ฆ:
๐ถ๐ฆ Qatar plays a crucial role on the American chessboard. It's allowed to appear supportive of the liberation of Arab people, democracy, and various positive slogans, providing a service or role.
Thanks to these slogans, its role is to be a mediator between the Americans and "terrorists" that the Americans are engaged in wars with, in case negotiations are needed.
- Qatar facilitated talks between the U.S. and Taliban.
- Qatar is facilitating talks between Hamas and the U.S. and Israel.
So, why the sudden America tone Change ?
Well, believe it or not, the U.S. establishment is not as content as it was in the first weeks regarding Israelโs performance. It aims to end the war before it escalates into a regional conflict that forces its engagement.
Notably, the Qatari offer is essentially an American proposal presented under the guise of Qatar.

NDTV | Israel Supreme Court Rejects Foreign Media Appeal For Gaza Access
The court argued the restrictions were justified on security grounds
Israel's Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by international media organisations to allow independent access for journalists to the war-torn Gaza Strip.
Israel controls entry to the besieged Palestinian territory and has not allowed journalists to travel there independently since the start of the conflict on October 7.
The court argued the restrictions were justified on security grounds, as independent entry of journalists could "endanger" Israeli soldiers battling Gaza's Hamas rulers.
In its ruling handed down on Monday, the court said allowing journalists inside Gaza could give away operational details, including troop locations, in a way that could "put them in real danger".
The Foreign Press Association (FPA) in Jerusalem, which floated the petition as a representative of dozens of international media organisations in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, said it was "disappointed" by the ruling.
"Israel's ban on independent foreign press access to Gaza, for 95 days straight, is unprecedented," the FPA said in a statement on Tuesday.
