🚨Press statement issued by the General Directorate of Civil Defense:

Civil Defense crews in Rafah Governorate were subjected to three attacks while carrying out their work since midnight last night, as Quadcopter planes fired on our crews near the Zaroub roundabout at one in the morning, followed by targeting the crews with gunfire from occupation snipers in the Al-Najili station area, west of Rafah, causing them to die. Damage to the front windshield of the ambulance vehicle, and artillery shells were fired at our crews accompanied by the Red Crescent while recovering wounded people from the Abu Taha family near the Zoroub roundabout.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense deplores the deliberate targeting of our crews while performing their humanitarian duty in a manner that violates all international laws and norms and increases human losses among civilians, especially during their displacement, causing dozens of martyrs in the streets and roads branching from Al-Bahr Street.

We appeal to international institutions and the Chairman of the International Committee for Civil Protection and Civil Defense to work to protect our crews and allow humanitarian interventions for the distress calls we receive from citizens.
