📣 Victory for Palestine Solidarity at Wesleyan University! 📣

After three weeks of unwavering dedication, the Wesleyan Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) have achieved a monumental agreement with the University, marking a significant step towards divestment from companies complicit in the oppression of Palestinians.

🏕️ Encampment Success:
Over 1,000 participants and 100 tents were part of the Wesleyan Palestine Solidarity Encampment, which was a powerful demonstration against Israel’s genocidal actions in Gaza. The encampment fostered a vibrant community of students united in their commitment to justice for Palestine.

3 Academic Boycott Discussions: An ad-hoc committee will explore boycotting Israeli academic institutions and related programs.

🌍 Global Solidarity:
This victory is part of a larger movement against Israel’s apartheid and occupation. As SJP organizer Liam Dorrien highlighted, “It makes you feel like a part of a much larger movement.”

📅 Continued Efforts:
The fight isn’t over. SJP will push for complete divestment by September, urging the University to uphold its values against the backdrop of ongoing atrocities in Palestine.

Permission has been given to those who fight because they have been wronged, and indeed, God is Able to grant them victory.

In continuation of our approach to resisting the occupation, in support of our people in Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted, on Monday morning, May 27, 2024, a vital target in Eilat, “Umm al-Rashrash.” By drone, the Islamic Resistance confirms its continued destruction of enemy strongholds.
