Iran's enriched uranium stockpile grows, IAEA reports

📈 Increased Uranium Enrichment: Iran has boosted its stockpile of uranium enriched to 60%, nearing weapons-grade levels. As of May 11, Iran holds 142.1 kg of enriched uranium, a clear demonstration of its advanced capabilities despite international pressures.

Rafael Grossi, IAEA director and U.N. nuclear watchdog chief, warned last month that Iran has had enough highly enriched uranium for "several" nuclear bombs if it chooses to build them.
'The level of inspection [in Iran] is not at the level we should have,' he told Sky News in April.

Iranian officials have threatened they could pursue atomic weapons. Iran has said its nuclear program is peaceful.

Despite the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordering Israel to halt its offensive in Rafah and open the Rafah border crossing for humanitarian aid, Israel continued its operations. On Sunday, a bombing in a refugee camp killed at least 45 Palestinians, including women, children, and the elderly, according to Gaza health authorities. These attacks have been broadly condemned by EU leaders.

Martin emphasized that the EU has always upheld the independence of the ICJ and the necessity for nations to comply with its rulings. He noted the widespread concern among EU member states about Israel's blatant disregard for the ICJ’s provisional orders.
