Tasnim: Reports indicate that the helicopter carrying Ebrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has experienced an incident in East Azerbaijan.
However, some of the president's companions on this helicopter were able to communicate with Central Headquarters, raising hopes that the incident could have ended without casualties.
There were three helicopters in this convoy, two of which were carrying ministers and officials, and they arrived at their destination safely.
Seyyed Mohammad-Ali Al-Hashem, Tabriz's Friday Prayer Imam, and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian were also reportedly on the helicopter with the president.

Several sources are now saying it was an emergency landing of just one of the three helicopters in the convoy. It is not know if the one transporting Raisi was involved.

FarsNews is saying it was his helicopter, they had an emergency landing in the fog, but he is safe and is travelling by land now.

Tasnim News on Twitter: Since the accident was reported, rescue teams from the Red Crescent, as well as military and law enforcement, have launched an extensive search for the president's helicopter.
According to local residents, the helicopter's status remains unknown due to the foggy conditions in the area.
Given the phone call made by one of the president's companions to central headquarters following the accident, there is a considerable hope that there were no casualties.
