Israel should be held accountable for the crimes it has committed and is still committing against Palestinian athletes in Gaza.

We call on the International Olympic Committee and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to take serious measures against “Israel”, which killed at least 270 Palestinian athletes, and destroyed sports infrastructure, facilities and stadiums.

The "Israeli" army deliberately turned the "Yarmouk" stadium in Gaza City into a detention center to detain and humiliate hundreds of Palestinians who appeared naked and stripped of their clothes, including children.

We documented the destruction of 31 sports facilities, football fields, gyms, headquarters, sports training halls, and 28 sports and fitness centers, which may amount to the destruction of more than 80% of the sports facilities in the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of players from the Gaza Strip were prevented from their right to move and travel in order to represent Palestine in various international tournaments, in addition to the “Israeli” military attack causing the cessation of all sports activities, events and tournaments.

International sports bodies should take a decisive stance regarding Israel’s violations against athletes and civilian sports objects in the Gaza Strip, especially FIFA, which is scheduled to hold an extraordinary meeting of its council next month to decide on the possibility of taking measures against the Israeli federation.

We warn of suspicions of double standards in the policies and dealings of FIFA, which was quick to impose a comprehensive ban on Russia’s participation in international tournaments until further notice in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

The Popular Front reiterates: The floating port is a cause for concern, warns of plans behind it, and confirms that the American and other presence as an occupying force

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine reiterates that the US administration’s establishment of a floating port on the coast of the Gaza Strip is a cause for concern, and warns of the dangers of using it to implement other goals and plans, such as displacement or protecting the occupation, and not to transport aid.

The Front also warns any Palestinian, Arab or international parties against coordinating with the American administration, or working in this port, and stresses the necessity of opening all crossings in the Gaza Strip, including the Rafah land crossing, as an alternative to this port and to ensure the flow of aid to the Gaza Strip without restrictions or conditions.

The Front stresses that the Rafah land crossing is a Palestinian-Egyptian crossing with pure sovereignty, and that its management mechanism is determined by the Palestinian party in agreement with the Egyptian party, far from the control or interference of the occupation.

The Front renews its position rejecting any American or Zionist presence or any foreign force in the Gaza Strip, whether at the Rafah crossing or any place on the land or coast of the Strip, and confirms that it and the resistance will continue to deal with these forces as an occupying force.
