The humanitarian crisis is deepening inside the Gaza Strip, with the continued occupation of the Rafah crossing, closing it to the entry of aid trucks, and preventing their entry from the Kerem Abu Salem crossing, as “Israel” thus applies its siege to the entire Gaza Strip.

The specter of famine returns to once again threaten the governorates of Gaza and the north, and the food security crisis in the central and southern governorates worsens, especially with the displacement of tens of thousands of citizens from the city of Rafah as a result of the invasion carried out by the occupation army.

We confirm the weakness of the relief efforts for our people and that they remain below the minimum required in the face of the humanitarian catastrophe that is ravaging them. The trucks that entered the center and south of the Gaza Strip through Kerem Shalom did not exceed 100 trucks over the past week, while about 230 trucks entered the Gaza and northern governorates from the point west of Beit Lahia. It entered under the coordination of the World Food Organization, including 184 loaded with flour for bakeries and citizens and only two medicine trucks, and the rest were food parcels.

In light of the increasingly tragic humanitarian catastrophe; We demand the withdrawal of the occupation forces from the Rafah crossing, and we reaffirm, in light of the talk about the water crossing, that land crossings are the most feasible and effective for delivering aid to the Gaza Strip, reducing the food security crisis and preventing famine that threatens all areas of the Strip. ‌

The best way to do this is to operate land crossings in a way that allows sufficient and regular entry of aid and relief trucks that are lined up on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing, and the occupation refuses to enter them, ignoring the decisions of the UN Security Council and the Court of Justice.
