Egypt rejected another Israeli proposal for coordination between the parties to reopen the Rafah crossing - Egypt firmly refuses that Israel control the Rafah crossing and insists that the crossing be managed by Palestinians. At this point the crossing remains closed, although Israel is not opposed to reopening it.
