🚨 A press statement issued by the head of the government media office, Salama Maarouf:

The number of martyrs who died as a result of wrong airdrops of aid rose to 21 citizens, after two martyrs died during the last airdrop of aid, in the Al-Karama area near the Moaz bin Jabal Mosque, where one of the umbrellas fell on the Zingo roof of one of the warehouses, causing the roof to collapse. Citizens gathered to receive aid. Two citizens were martyred and 4 others were moderately injured.

We reiterate that airdrops of aid have become a real threat to the lives of citizens, in addition to that they do not constitute a real solution to reduce the food security crisis that is afflicting northern Gaza, because part of this aid is thrown into the sea, and some of it is thrown inside our occupied territories or near the fence. The separator is in dangerous areas, and part of it falls on the heads of citizens. This puts the lives of citizens in extreme danger, and repeats the scenario of their martyrdom as a result of these wrong airdrops of aid.

We call for an end to the operations of landing aid in this wrong and useless way, and we demand that the land crossings be fully activated in order to bring humanitarian aid to our citizens in northern Gaza, as it was found through field inventory and follow-up that 30% of the cargo of these landings was thrown into the sea or into The fence or near it in areas to which the occupying army prevents access.

We express our strong denunciation and condemnation of the crime of closing the crossings and the war of starvation that comes as a continuation of the unjust siege and the crime of genocide committed by the “Israeli” occupation army against our people with all sadism and devoid of human values.

We call on all international and international organizations, especially UNRWA, to carry out their assigned role, and we call on all countries of the world to step out of the box of condemnations and denunciations and play a practical role to stop the starvation policy, open all crossings immediately, and stop the complex and ongoing crimes against defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip.
