The Cradle:
A weapons analysis by the Guardian published on 6 May confirmed the arms used in an Israeli attack on a medical center in southern Lebanon were US-made.
“The Guardian examined the remnants of a 500lb Israeli MPR bomb and a US-manufactured Joint Direction Attack Munition (JDAM) recovered by first responders from the scene of the attack,” the report read, adding that the pictures of shrapnel were verified by Human Rights Watch (HRW) and an independent expert.
Israel attacked the Islamic Medical Association center in the Lebanese village of Al-Habbariyah in late March, leading to the death of seven volunteer paramedics, all aged 18 to 25.
JDAMs, produced by the US Boeing company, are guidance kits that turn the 225–900-kilogram “dumb bombs” that Israel has been using into GPS-guided precision missiles. These are some of Tel Aviv’s most requested munitions from the US.
“Israel’s assurances that it is using US weapons lawfully are not credible. As Israel’s conduct in Gaza and Lebanon continues to violate international law, the Biden administration should immediately suspend arms sales to Israel,” Ramzi Kaiss, Lebanon researcher for HRW, said following the rights group’s investigation.
Amnesty International also said that the US should halt its weapons sales to Israel due to the chance that the latter’s use of these munitions is in “violation of international law.”
Highlighting civilian casualties that came as a result of Israel’s use of US-made JDAMs and Small Diameter Bombs (SDB), Amnesty International says Israel is intentionally using these arms to carry out unjust attacks and kill civilians.
The rights group said civilian casualty incidents “underscore the overall pattern of unlawful attacks by Israeli forces and the extremely high risk that US-made weapons and other materials and services provided to the Israeli government are being used in violation of international law.”
As of December, Israel’s use of “dumb bombs” covers roughly half of the munitions dropped on the Gaza Strip, and even when turned “smart” through the use of JDAMs, Israel has targeted residential buildings under the auspices of them being “power targets.”
“The United States government must immediately suspend the transfer of all weapons and other articles to the Israeli government so long as compliance with international humanitarian and human rights law is not demonstrated,” the report continued.
Note: Boeing whistleblowers keep dying like flies, in mysterious circumstances.

The former head of the Zionist regime's prisoner department exposed Netanyahu
Yaron Bloom, the former head of Israel's prisoner affairs department, said he disagreed with Netanyahu's claim that Hamas was not serious about the negotiations :
We saw two Hamas representatives go to Cairo, and the movement is trying to achieve a permanent ceasefire, but Israel doesn't want that.
In recent days, Hamas and Egyptian and Qatari mediators have stressed that a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement exists in Gaza, but that the Zionist regime's cabinet for some reason does not want the agreement to go through.
Regional observers believe that Netanyahu views continuing the war against Gaza as his only option for political survival and believes that if the war ends, his ouster and even a trial will be key due to the numerous failures in the Gaza war.

Anadolu:
The Spanish and Irish prime ministers discussed recognizing Palestinian statehood on Monday, as the Israeli military warned tens of thousands of people in the southern Gaza city of Rafah to evacuate.
Irish leader Simon Harris posted on X that both leaders are “eager to make progress on this very shortly” and “remain in close contact.”
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez emphasized on social media that a two-state solution is the “only way to achieve a future of peace, security and stability in the region.”
Sanchez later said he conversed with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani about the situation in Palestine.
"I shared my concern about a possible Israeli operation in Rafah with the emir," Sanchez posted on X, adding that he thanked the Qatari leader for the nation's mediating role between Hamas and Israel.
"Spain is committed to any work that aims at achieving a just and lasting peace in the region through the two-state solution and mutual recognition," he said.
Meanwhile, without referring directly to the evacuation of Palestinians in Rafah, Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares said he will meet his American counterpart Antony Blinken on Friday.
Speaking at a talk hosted by Europa Press and McKinsey, Albares said he will discuss the situation in Ukraine and Gaza with Blinken. “Because the government of Spain defends exactly the same principles in Ukraine as in the Middle East — we want a return to peace, but a peace that is just and that fits within the charter of the United Nations.”
I am glad he decided not to quit.

Zeteo:
A group of influential Republican senators has sent a letter to International Criminal Court (ICC) chief prosecutor Karim Khan, warning him not to issue international arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli officials, and threatening him with “severe sanctions” if he does so.
In a terse, one-page letter obtained exclusively by Zeteo, and signed by 12 GOP senators, including Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Florida’s Marco Rubio, and Ted Cruz of Texas, Khan is informed that any attempt by the ICC to hold Netanyahu and his colleagues to account for their actions in Gaza will be interpreted “not only as a threat to Israel’s sovereignty but to the sovereignty of the United States.”
You would think thuggish letters like this one would have no room in politics…. The US is a rogue state.
