The Cradle:
According to a 3 May Yedioth Ahronoth report, Mossad Chief David Barnea and Shin Bet Chief Ronen Bar asked the cabinet to postpone a vote to ban Al Jazeera late on Thursday night.
The delaying of the vote is said to be an attempt by the spy chiefs to pressure Qatar to use its mediating role to force Hamas into accepting the latest proposal for a prisoner exchange and temporary ceasefire – including by threatening to oust the Hamas leadership from Doha.
The Hamas leadership's residence in Doha, established originally at the behest of the US and Israel, has become increasingly scrutinized in recent months by Israeli officials who feel that Qatar hasn’t used its power over the group sufficiently. By threatening to shut Al Jazeera down, the officials believe Qatar will be incentivized to act.

🔴 🔽 hamas Press Statement
We, in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), highly appreciate the courageous positions announced by the brothers in the leadership of the Ansar Allah movement and the armed forces in brotherly Yemen, in victory and in defense of our Palestinian people, who are being subjected to a war of genocide and ethnic cleansing at the hands of the Nazi-Zionist occupation army, aimed at cutting off supply lines to this entity. The rogue occupier, until his aggression and siege of our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip stops.
What our brothers in the Ansar Allah movement and the valiant Yemeni armed forces are doing in supporting our people and resisting them is an extension and practical translation of the historical positions of the authentic Yemeni people in supporting Palestine, defending our Palestinian people, and supporting our resistance against the brutal occupation.
It is with great pride that we salute our brothers in the Ansar Allah movement and the Yemeni Armed Forces, and the brotherly Yemeni people and all its sects and components, which have always been a supporter of our people and their right to freedom and self-determination, and we call on our Arab and Islamic nation to unite its efforts in besieging the occupation, and in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their national rights, foremost of which is the establishment of... The Palestinian state with its capital, Jerusalem.

BBC UK:
In a commentary to the local election results, Streeting told BBC Radio 5 Live that he didn't dispute the fact that in Oldham - and other parts of the country - "Gaza has been an issue" and he acknowledged that a number of people felt Labour was too slow in calling for a ceasefire.
"We are obviously calling for a ceasefire now and even more importantly... urging Israel not to invade Rafah, which would be an absolute catastrophe," he says.
He added, “I don't deny that there are people out there who are feeling let down and I want them to know that we’ve heard. We will take that on the chin, and we'll work hard to win people's trust back at future elections.”
I still wouldn’t trust them. But – at least – they are smart enough to acknowledge their electoral turnout has been impacted by their stance.

a willingness to implement the first phase of the deal without an Israeli commitment to end the war, but with other difficult conditions, especially regarding the number of hostages scheduled to be released.

Israeli occupation forces detained the wife of Middle East Eye correspondent, Mohammed al-Hajjar, Inas Abu al-Maza, at a military checkpoint in the central Gaza Strip. Separating the family as they traveled south to Rafah.
Later, the occupation army released her but prevented her from reuniting with her family in the south, instead requiring her return to Gaza City.
