Trade disruptions due to the situation in the Red Sea will persist until the end of 2024 — Maersk forecast
The world's second-largest shipping company looks pessimistically at the situation with freight transport in the region, where Houthi attacks continue. Maersk stated that, in their opinion, the difficulties with trade through the Red Sea "will not be short-term and will continue at least in the second half of the year." In March, the cost of transporting a container reached $6800, whereas before the crisis it was $750.

Reportedly, a fire occurred at a metallurgical plant of the defence-industrial company Diehl in Berlin.
This company is the developer and manufacturer of Iris-T missiles.
“Chemicals are burning in the building. Sulfuric acid and copper cyanide were stored there. There is a risk of hydrogen cyanide forming, which will rise into the air along with the smoke,” a fire service spokesman said.
Residents are advised to avoid and drive around the area, close windows and doors, and turn off HVAC systems.

Middle East Eye:
Sectors across the Israeli economy are warning of wide-reaching impacts of Turkey’s decision to halt all trade with Israel, and are scrambling to find alternative sources for lost imports.
The Turkish trade ministry announced earlier this week that Ankara is halting all import and export transactions related to Israel until it “allows an uninterrupted and sufficient flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza”.
The ban on imports includes iron and steel products, construction materials, minerals, machinery, cars, energy products, rubber, plastics, health and agricultural products.
The construction industry is bracing for the loss of Turkish iron and steel products and building materials, as Turkey supplied 29 percent of Israel's total cement imports last year.
Meanwhile, Israel’s largest oil refinery, Bezan, said the ban could impact crude oil imports.
Forty percent of Israel’s annual oil consumption is piped to the Turkish oil hub port of Ceyhan and then shipped to Israel.
Moreover, representatives of the electrical products industry are warning that the ban could lead to a 35 percent hike in prices, as the majority of domestic electrical goods in Israel are manufactured in Turkey.
The new restrictions could force importers to import across the Red Sea, where attacks by Yemen's Houthi group have driven a spike in shipping costs.
It appears Erdogan hit late, but where it counts.

In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful
God Almighty said: {And it is a duty upon Us to help the believers} God Almighty has spoken the truth.
The Yemeni Armed Forces are following the developments of the battle in the Gaza Strip, including the continuation of the Israeli and American aggression and the preparations for carrying out an aggressive military operation targeting the Rafah area. We are also following the offer presented to the resistance, in which the enemy wants to extract the prisoners’ card without a permanent ceasefire.
And accordingly
In implementation of the directives of Commander Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, may God protect him, in the victory over the oppression of the Palestinian people, and in response to the calls of resistance from the oppressed Palestinian people, and with the obstinacy of the Israeli and American enemies, the Yemeni armed forces, with the help of God Almighty, announce the beginning of the implementation of the fourth phase of escalation, as follows:
First: Targeting all ships violating the decision to ban Israeli navigation and heading to the ports of occupied Palestine in the Mediterranean Sea in any area within our reach.
Second: Implementation of this begins from the time this statement is announced.
Third: If the Israeli enemy intends to launch an aggressive military operation against Rafah, the Yemeni armed forces will impose comprehensive sanctions on all ships of companies that are related to supplying and entering the occupied Palestinian ports of any nationality, and will prevent all ships of these companies from passing through the forces’ area of operations. Armed forces, regardless of their destination.
The Yemeni armed forces, with the help of God Almighty, and then based on the support and backing of the great Yemeni people and all the free people of the nation, will not hesitate to prepare and prepare for broader and stronger stages of escalation until the aggression is stopped and the siege is lifted on the oppressed Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
And God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs, the best protector, and the best helper
Long live Yemen, free, dear and independent
Victory belongs to Yemen and to all the free people of the nation
