🔽The first meeting of the persecuted people returning to Palestine, which is the first meeting with engineer Yahya Ayyash, is described by Commander Hassan Salama by saying:

"We met at the house of one of the brothers to discuss our internal affairs and develop a plan of action, especially after the return of some of those persecuted from abroad. We all have great experience in manufacturing and we are all from the Gaza Strip. We knew each other whether as friends or work colleagues."

But there was a silent man among us who did not speak and always smiled, and after we ate dinner, the man spoke in the West Bank dialect.

At that time, we all realized that he was Yahya Ayyash, and he was nicknamed (Abu Ahmed), and this was the beginning of getting to know the engineer, the silent, smiling man.

He continued: “Yahya Ayyash, who has great experience in work, amazed us a lot, and we learned many things from him, especially in the field of explosives.”

The martyr Ayyash conveyed his experience to his companions, and he used to say: “The Jews can uproot my body from Palestine, but I want to plant something in the people that they cannot uproot.”
