🚨 Encampments in solidarity with Gaza and demanding institutional divestment have been erected at UC Berkeley and Cal Poly Humboldt in California, bringing the number of ongoing encampments at US universities to 15.

From east to west, students demand divestment! Students are unafraid of repression, centering Palestine and Gaza. At NYU today, as hundreds of police descended on protestors as they began maghrib prayer, NYU faculty formed the first line of defense and were the first to be arrested.

The Berkeley encampment is taking place in the center of campus on the steps of Sproul Hall. Their message to the world and administration: "Unlike you, we refuse to watch in silence."

"The time to act and fight this genocide is now. We will not budge from divestment, and we will not wait until Palestinians become a land acknowledgement in administrators' emails...We will take back our campus and we will divest."

At Cal Poly Humboldt, students have occupied a building and barricaded the entrance amidst confrontations with riot police.

The UC Berkeley Divest Coalition added:
"For Palestine, we must fight.
For Gaza, we must win.
For all of us, and because of the Palestinian resistance, we will win.
Glory to the martyrs, glory to our noble resistance, and glory to the people."
