Unusual incident in the Red Sea: Yemeni armed forces opened fire on American naval helicopters

This morning at 07:30, a distress signal was received from a container ship named MAERSK HANGZHOU, reporting an attack by four small Yemeni boats.

The Yemeni-controlled boats from Yemen approached within a range of 20 meters from the ship and attempted to board it. The ship's security team responded by opening fire on them.

Simultaneously, American helicopters responded to the distress call and instructed the Yemeni boats to move away. In response, the boats fired at the helicopters. The American naval helicopters retaliated, sinking three out of the four Yemeni boats. The fourth boat escaped the area.
