I was tired of hearing all the propaganda about the West being free, so I delved into some statistics – and here are the results.

I used Freedom House because this is what most Western governments use to assess whether a country is free and to what extent.

The common Western propaganda you hear goes like this:
📌Iran isn’t free, but Saudi and Bahrain are
📌Lebanon, Kuwait & Iraq need "help" with their democracy, but UAE & Egypt do not
📌The US is the freest country in the world
📌Israel is a great democracy

When you scratch the surface, you discover that:

📌Iran (11) is as free as Bahrain (12), Saudi is far worse (8)
📌Lebanon (42), Kuwait (38) and Iraq (30) are freer than UAE and Egypt (both at 18)
📌The US gets only 83 out of 100 points. The freest countries in the world are Finland (100), New Zealand (99), Norway (99) and Sweden (98).
📌Israel only gets 74/100 – about as free as Guyana (73) and a little less than… the Solomon Islands (75).

Ireland (97) and Belgium (96) – which support Palestine – are significantly freer than Germany (93), the UK (91), Italy (90), France (89), and the US (83) which do not.

Basically, everything they claim is a travesty, even when you use their own standards.
