An Egyptian source told the Al-Arabi Al-Jadid newspaper: Egypt rejected an American request to participate in the interception of Iranian missiles and drones because it follows a policy of non-interference and maintaining neutrality, within the framework of the roles it plays in the region.

The source stated that "recently we have witnessed a significant improvement in relations between Cairo and Tehran".

With the end of the Iranian attack on Israel, the Foreign Ministry received urgent requests to hold a series of talks with Foreign Minister Israel Katz.

Two of the requests - from British Foreign Minister David Cameron and French Foreign Minister Stéphane Sjournat - were particularly
urgent.

The two foreign ministers asked to speak with their counterpart as soon as possible for fear of an immediate Israeli response and escalation.

French Foreign Minister Sjournat expressed a real fear of deterioration. "What are your plans now? We are very worried about a regional escalation that will affect the entire region," he said.

Shortly after, British Minister Cameron told Katz: "Iran says that if you react, their reaction will be greater. I think the smart thing would be not to react and prevent escalation. You have shown in the best way that Iran is the aggressor - as your friend, I ask you not to react."
