PART 1: The Rwandan Genocide
During the 1994 Rwandan genocide, also known as 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda, members of the Hutu ethnic majority in Rwanda murdered as many as 800,000 people and 250,000 women raped, mostly of the Tutsi minority
The Tutsis and Hutus had longstanding tensions under colonial rule, entrenched further by the Belgians. Although Hutus were in the majority, Tutsis generally commanded greater wealth and social position.
A Hutu revolution in 1959 forced as many as 330,000 Tutsis to flee the country, making them an even smaller minority.
Cables exchanged by Israel and Rwanda showed that Israeli considered the Rwandan government's Tutsi problem made them a natural ally in dealing with the Palestinian issue, on which in1966 an Israeli diplomat, Aryeh Levin, in Kigali, wrote, "They (the Hutus) understand the refugee problem since tens of thousands of Tutsis are sitting across the border, and it is well known that they are supported by the Arabs"
There are various reports that the Israeli government provided military support to the Hutu regime during the Rwandan Civil War that raged until 1994.
Documents revealed that Israel provided the Hutus with 5.56-millimeter bullets as well as rifles and grenades captured during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. According to those reports, Israel continued sending weapons to the Hutus as the genocide was taking place and were fully aware of the activities of the Rwandan dictator and the army.
Israel supported the Rwandan Hutus in committing a genocide to gain their support in international forums on the issue of Palestinians
The arms dealer expressed pride in his actions after a tour of the valley of death in Rwanda, because his arms helped the victims die quickly — a bullet to the head instead of hacks by a machete. “I’m actually a doctor,” he said.”

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says that the UK fully backs Israel’s right to defend itself against Iranian threats.
Sunak says threats by Iran to carry out a missile strike on Israel are “unacceptable,” adding that “we, like the Americans, fully support Israel’s right to defend itself against that.”
Sunak adds that Britain has already “highlighted Iran as a significant risk to regional security,” including to the UK.
