🔻The rehabilitation department projects that approximately 20,000 new casualties of war will be identified by the year's end.

Six months post-October 7, over 6,800 new wounded individuals were admitted to the Ministry of Defense's rehabilitation department, with 1 in 5 experiencing mental trauma. Tzipi Feldman, deputy head of the department, expressed determination to prevent further cases like Itzik Saidian's.

Of the new wounded admitted to the rehabilitation wing since October 7, 71% are reservists. Half of them (51%) are young people under the age of 30, while 351 injured individuals comprise 5% of the victims.

Since the outbreak of the war, more than 1,200 new wounded have been admitted every month.

Currently, 303 wounded men and women are still hospitalized, with 9% defined as being in moderate condition and 6% in serious condition.

Additionally, 42% of the injured suffer from limb injuries, while 21% experience mental reactions and post-trauma.

It's worth noting that these figures are significantly higher than the IDF figures, which state that 501 soldiers have been seriously injured since the beginning of the war, with another 2,701 in mild to moderate condition.
